SIOUX FALLS – Officials at South Dakota State University announced earlier today that a major concert event is returning this fall to the Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium in Brookings. Jacks Bash 2 is slated for Wednesday, September 8, 2021, headlined by Zac Brown Band with special guest Fall Out Boy. Ticket information will be announced in the coming days.

SDSU Athletic Director Justin Sell said the event will mark exactly five years since Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium opened its doors on campus. At that time, a large celebration called Jacks Bash was held to commemorate the historic event.

“We are excited to celebrate five years of success in this incredible stadium,” Sell said. “We are primed for an unbelievable year, and to kick it off with this epic event will be special. It’s the perfect opportunity to bring Jackrabbits back this fall and celebrate the bright futures of our university and our athletic program.”

First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard are the exclusive sponsors of Jacks Bash 2. First PREMIER Bank CEO Dana Dykhouse said the event will be a celebration of South Dakota’s people, SDSU and PREMIER’s 2,300 employees.

“During the past year, our state’s healthcare workers and teachers worked tirelessly to ensure students were able to attend classes in the face of COVID-19,” Dykhouse said. “SDSU has had tremendous success in recruitment and fundraising efforts. And our PREMIER employees have shown a tremendous commitment to serving our customers and communities. All of these things combined are a great reason to throw a big party this fall.”

Nearly 23,000 people attended the original Jacks Bash. Dykhouse said PREMIER is working with SDSU to ensure proper COVID-19 protocols are followed.

First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard are headquartered in Sioux Falls. The locally owned organization is one of nation’s strongest financial groups and is known for its philanthropic and community giving. PREMIER supports nearly 700 non-profit groups and its employees donate about 30,000 volunteer hours annually. For more information, visit firstpremier.com.
