First PREMIER Bank Welcomes New Chief Credit Officer
SIOUX FALLS—Joe Marsh has joined First PREMIER Bank as the Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer. He will be succeeding John McGrath who will be retiring in January 2026 after 31 years at the bank. Prior to joining First PREMIER, Marsh was the Chief Financial Officer for Malloy Electric in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Marsh began his financial career as a CPA with Henry Scholten & Co., a predecessor to Eide Bailly. He then moved to U.S. Bank in Sioux Falls, where he enjoyed a 30-year career. Before leaving U.S. Bank, Marsh served as the Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking responsible for South Dakota, North Dakota and portions of Iowa.
He is a native of Sioux Falls, a graduate of Washington High School and the University of South Dakota where he earned his BA in Business Administration / Accounting. Marsh and his wife Cathy have three adult children. Cathy Marsh is the Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Business School at Augustana University.
Joe Marsh is actively involved in the Sioux Falls community, currently serving as the Board Chair of the Sioux Empire Housing Partnership, and Board Chair of the Holy Spirit Finance Council. Previously, he served as the President, Treasurer and Board Member of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls.
